What can I do to protect my family’s health?
It’s cold and flu season, and you can take simple steps to prevent illness. Building healthy habits will also help protect you if we have local coronavirus cases in the future.

  • Wear face coverings in public or when gathering with people you do not live with.

  • Avoid gatherings with people outside your home. If you do gather, meet outside and wear a face covering.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.

  • Limit contact with people who are actively sick with coughing, sneezing and other symptoms.

  • Stay home from school and work when sick. If your child has a fever of 100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using an oral thermometer, they should not come to school. Please contact your healthcare provider if experiencing fever, cough, or respiratory difficulty as described in the attached infographic: COVID Infographic.pdf
