Swim Lessons

In accordance with Governor Inslee’s COVID-19 related mandates, the Curtis Aquatic Center will be closed to ALL programs beginning Monday, March 16th, and will remain closed until further notice.

Refunds will be offered for those registered for the Winter II lessons session. If you have not received an email with refund information, please contact Aaron Hughes at the email address below:

The Curtis Aquatic Center offers a lesson program that provides instruction to children age 4, or older, with skill levels ranging from beginners to advanced. Classes are grouped into sessions that include seven half hour lessons. Refer to the information below for more details. Lesson Program Information

School Year 2019-20:

We offer half hour group swimming lessons primarily on Tuesday and some Thursday evenings. There will be several separate seven night sessions throughout the 2019-20 school year. Please see below for registration information. Registration is based on a first come first serve basis. 

Children must be at least 4 years old to register.

istrationAvailable to the general public once pre-registration is complete. Online Registration is not available for Open Registration 
(You do NOT need to be enrolled in UPSD to participate in swim lessons).

  • For the safety and well-being of each swimmer these rules have been implemented
    • The swimming lesson program is open to children ages 4 and up.
    • Class sizes in levels 1-3 are limited to 8 students per half hour. Levels 4+ are limited to 6 students per half hour.
  • All parents/guardians must sign a medical/liability waiver on the registration date. Forms must be signed BEFORE your child can begin.
