At this time, we are limiting on-site volunteers for specific events/projects only with approval from the school's principal. The University Place School District welcomes and encourages parents and community members to actively participate in student learning through volunteering in schools and the Athletic Department. The community-teacher-student-family relationship is an important part of ensuring success for all students, every day.

All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application using the University Place School District Volunteer Application system.-

Background checks will be conducted on all adults working with students as part of the application process.

To apply as a volunteer, please register & complete the online application (click here).

  • Complete the items in the checklist, including the mandatory disclosure.
  • Upload your driver's license and any other documents required to the "My Checklist" section of the application

A Washington State Patrol background check is conducted on all volunteer applicants.

Once approved, all volunteers must reapply every two years.

If you need help scanning documents to upload or access to a computer, please call our Volunteer Application processor at (253) 566-5600, email [email protected], or stop by the District Office for help between 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Once you have completed your online application, use your Login ID and Password to update your volunteer application.
